Space is big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind- bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist's, but that's just peanuts to space.

No, they just have the right to bear arms.

None of the failures or complaints were on matters handled at the state level.
You need to know a little more of a subject matter rather than trying to blow forth great pronouncements from a VACUUM of knowledge. Physics is working against you there. And no, thoses of us that know what we a talking about dod not have time to explain it to every ignoramus, sometimes you have to do a little bid of background work on you own.

Thanks for the info Sikander and Lefty.

Given the problems that happened in the last federal election and the problems in these primaries, shouldn't the state take over the voting system rather than leave it in the hands of the counties who can't seem to get their act together.

There is no Federal election at all. The only national elective office, the President, is decided by 51 separate state (and district of Columbia) elections the results of which send delegates (Electors) to a body (the Electorial college) and this body selects the President. vote for a presidential candidate is actual voting to a state level slate of electors. These electors are nominated to their slate by a party level process that varies from state to state. The cnadidate may pick his slate of electors in some states, in others they are chosen at party state conventions. Although of course they chosen with the idea that that will loyal vote in the eletorial college for their designated candidate, there is no legal requirement that they do so. The systems incoperates cocerne for state soverienty under the federal system; fexibility incase a cadidate dies or becomes incapacitated, or rapes sixtteen virgisn and goat in between the "election" and the real election; additional infuence to less populous state in the federation,, and an additional time period for the elites of the electorial college to scrutinize the candidate before making him the powerful person in the USA 9and currently, the world)

Given my choice between a party that gets its constituency from people who tend to not have access to the best levels of education and therefore are not as knowledgeable on the civic process, and one that gets its constuency from white supremacists, war mongers, bible-thumping homophobes and huge oil conglomerates, I gladly take the former, and wonder who the real morons are.

Okay... time to let the truth out.

Canada has always been part of the union... we just made sure of it that we sensored the fact you have senators and such in DC, because the last time we let the truth out you blasted us with Ann Murrey tapes!

This time that won't happen. Welcome to the union.
