When the first plane hit the tower all the fire stairs were destroyed. So the ppl (more than a 1000 died in that tower) above those floors had no way of getting down. They were sitting there waiting for the tower to collapse...
When the second plane hit the other tower it hit it on the side and left stairwell A intact. But I'm thinking that surely some ppl walking/down those stairs to safety were hit. They probably heard the roar of the plane and then it was all over.
Just some thoughts.... I'm watching a documentary on tv now where ppl are telling their stories from inside the towers.
The family members left behind watching this... It must be hard..
