OK. So lets see; USA and Britain attacks Iraq and it's not going too well.. Who, taking advantage of this situation,
can attack someone else? Imagine! I'd like to see your vision.

Israel will not go nuclear unless, by some miracle, Saddam has nukes and launches them against Israel. There WILL be a response from Israel, though, if attacked.

The biggest danger, as I see it, is that an attack against Iraq may lead to huge amounts of civil unrest in the ME. You could well see some revolutions/civil wars, none of which is going to make life any nicer for Israel or the US - or anyone else, for that matter.

i say we "rock the middle east" with tomahawks until the rocks become gravel. Ousting saddam is a good idea in my opinion.

btw. Saddam has a higher IQ than bush. Ever seen Saddam get interviewed? Some of the 80's/pre gulf war interviews? Hes a smart dude
yes, i saw him, and yea he appears intelligent. wouldn't you agree that hitler was intelligent? bin laden seems intelligent as well.

thats the thing with being evil. if you're a good person, you could be as dumb as a brick and get noticed. How smart was Mother Teresa? When you're evil though, if you're a moron you don't get noticed at all. Intelligent Evil people gain ranks until they reach NOTORIOUSLY EVIL. Saddam's about there now.

I aspire to be notoriously evil someday... someday...

Hmm...I can set up a big war in Asia (China/Pakistan/N. Korea vs. US/India/Japan/Taiwan/Phillipines?/S. Korea) but I'm having trouble tying the Middle East into it.

Heh. Yeah, who cares about Taiwan? I mean, they're just a sh*tty little wanna be democracy now, complete with fist-fighting legislators.

But, hey, China claims Taiwan for itself and, God forbid, the world actually do something should China use military force on Taiwan. We wouldn't want to upset that potential powerhouse market of 1.1 billion people, would we? So sorry, Taiwan, but in the greater scheme of things (and in realpolitik), you're just the fly in the soup.

The world ends in 2012, so there is still a long time for the war to develop. Iraq is just the first step...

And Britain would join in? At last count most people here were pretty hostile to joining a war against Iraq...

There are lots of computer related industries in Taiwan. If Taiwan is attacked, we won't have VIA chipsets and MSI mobos anymore. Prices will rise and computers won't develop anymore, and so China will be as advanced with computers as western countries are now.

                    Or something...

Bush needs some pretty damn convincing evidence to attack Iraq. Whenever he chooses to show, then we will see how the American people respond. Now it's all just speculation.

                        i'm having a hard time tying China+Pakistan, and Pakistan+NKorea... and also a hard time tying in US+India, India+Taiwan, Taiwan+Philippines, SKorea+Philippines, Japan+Philippines...

Most polls show ambivalence or neutrality, with a tendency for, if Blair actually provides the dossier he promised.

Taiwan has this nasty little habit of being a democracy, something which still ties it in very closely with skorea and japan...

I think other nations would be stupid to try to appease the Chinese militarists. You have to prevent dominant nations from militarially annexing weaker ones. I'm all for the big guys kicking the pip squeeks around but not annexing...
