That's the dioptry. The cylinder is something else. In order for me to see properly, the lenses have to be heavier at the bottom, and they can't have more weight than to carry -2.Originally posted by Asher

Have been wearing them for a year. My sight wasn't too bad, but for instance stuff written on the blackboard in school was all blurry. Too much reading and Apolyton, I guess.
So last summer I got them, didn't wear them during the winter (couldn't be arsed
) but now I've started to have them on all the time and they've grown on me.
Now if I look in the mirror without them I look silly IMO, like something is missing. Also I think they have made my sight worse, at least that's what it feels like when I take them off.

Glasses since I was six.
I will never wear contacts, because of the 'contact' issue and because I have never been able to follow any kind of maintenance schedule.No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.Comment

I wear contacts.......far too much as well. Glasses suck. I recommend to anyone that wears glasses to get them. You will get over the putting your finger in your eye thing.

My eyes apparently aren't round enough so contacts always pop out so I'm stuck with glasses
