    Felch,

Wow, David Floyd for President. You registered with the LP?
I'm not registered with any party. Last election I voted straight Libertarian, but for Senator I'm probably going to vote for whatever Republican is running against Ron Kirk. I hate Ron Kirk enough to vote Republican (he used to be mayor of Dallas, I'm from a suburb of Dallas).

    SS,

so what would we do if some big meanie started picking on a former friend (a la Kuwait, UK, etc). Just sit back and laugh?
Not much we can do. It isn't our business.

    Fez,

Order National Guard out to the streets in the US's most dangerous cities and start rounding up domestic troublemakers, such as people in gangs. Sending National Guard out to the streets will maintain national security against international terrorism aswell.
That sounds like a good way to get Guardsmen killed in street fights that they aren't trained for. Soldiers and Guardsmen are not policemen.

    Maintain consititution nonetheless
    HAHAHAHAHAHA.

    Put Drinking age at 25
    That's not a federal power.

Have David Floyd be sent to Cuba to display how poorly his political model is working
Right, because the way Cuba is run is EXACTLY how I want to run things

Drop Nuclear Bomb on Baghdad and have Saddam assassinated
Oh, that sounds like a good way to lose our MidEast oil, and to get sanctions placed on us by, well, everyone.

Floyd you need to see a doctor... your opinions are very messed up.
I'm not the one who wants to nuke Baghdad and turn the US into a military dictatorship.

Well then they should be trained for that. And militarization of the police men are good.

And Guardsmen are specifically for maintaining national security, so shouldn't they be not? That is what the Spanish Civil Guard does... the Spanish equavilant of the National Guard. It gets involved in preventing crime all of the time with police.

Launch invasions of other Arab countries. They do not stand a chance, steal the oil fields.

At least under the Franco era in my country, the society was better off. It is well off today but that is because Spaniards have sense and don't abuse privileges like some Americans, specifically with the drinking age. In my country people drink socially... in the US most people get drunk that is why the drinking age should not be reduced but infact raised in the US.

By the time B-2s were going over head Baghdad, Saddam would of left. He needs to be found and shot.

              Better off under Franco?

Well, anyways, have you ever heard about something called botellón? I guess not. Talk about getting drunk...

Look at the US. I mean when I was in Spain people don't get drunk... infact they drink socially at bars where you can order tapas... but I am sure you know about those. Anyways, I appreciate my country's society because it is in working order. The US and its society is rather questionable.

Well then they should be trained for that.
Uh, no they shouldn't. That's what the city police force is for. They have plenty of firepower, and far, far, far better investigative skills, which is what police work is 99% of the time. A SWAT team is much more useful than a platoon of National Guardsmen in an urban environment.

And militarization of the police men are good.
Er, why? Many police officers are reservists anyway, but those who are not don't need military training for police work - the two fields are not really related.

And Guardsmen are specifically for maintaining national security, so shouldn't they be not? That is what the Spanish Civil Guard does... the Spanish equavilant of the National Guard. It gets involved in preventing crime all of the time with police.
That's nice, but I'm telling you, all you could conceivably need Guardsmen for is the enforcement process, and the police already have ample resources for that.

If I was Presidente, I would say it is.
You obviously have no clue how the US legal system works.

                  Yes
Really? I wasn't aware that Cuba has no social spending and no gun control.

Launch invasions of other Arab countries. They do not stand a chance, steal the oil fields.
Do you have any idea how ridiculous that idea is?

Let me quote Benjamin Franklin to you:
"They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety."

By the time B-2s were going over head Baghdad, Saddam would of left. He needs to be found and shot.
Found with what? I mean, you already have the entire army on the streets in the US, and the CIA operating internally.
You'd certainly need that to hold on to power, anyway.

Just because you don't like alcohol - or more likely just don't have a high tolerance for it - doesn't mean you can stop others from drinking. Most of us can take more than 3 beers before stripping and pole dancing.

Well then get the National Guard to learn. See in my country there are the Police and Civil Guard, both do investigative work. But the Civil Guard is more national and protects national borders more often but works along side the police all of the time.

Then why not give them a little push?

But the point is this isn't necessary at all.

Investigations aside, the standard Foot Patrol Police Officer should get military equipiment and training if he does not already so have.
Why do you want cops carrying around M-16s? I agree that they should carry .40s rather than 9mms, but cops don't generally need assault rifles - and when the need arises, SWAT teams are used.

Again a liberal like you does not see the underlying sarcasm of what I said there. Maybe I should of added a smiley.
Actually I'm not any more liberal than I am conservative - I don't see you calling me conservative because of my gun policy.

Eventually that sort of talk would turn into a talk for a Castro like dictatorship.
Actually it leads to the exact opposite of dictatorships.
