Hmmm. 1-0 don't help too much to pick winners. Interesting names are only slightly more effective, or not. So I'll have to be an opinion parasite.

The overall winner? The Gunners! Arsenal.
Top scorer? Van Nistelrooy. Too many people who know better say so.

                  CL winner: Real

Topscorer: Either van Nistelrooij or Ronaldo
Playing with Figo, Raoiul and Zidane will mean teams cant afford to put 2 defenders on Ronaldo so he has the best chances IMO

I understand that, but I think there are only a handfull teams that have a chance against Real, Ajax not being one of them.

Real Madrid doesnt play UEFA Cup

And besides, for their semi against Inter theyhad the luck that Inter focussed on the scudeto so played their home game with a B-Team. But the second match was a very good one by feyenoord

Also Kholers red card in the 5th minute of the final, and the fact that it was played in de kuip helped a lot.

If a Dutch team wins the UEFA Cup it counts as a big achievement nowadays, winning the CL would be nothing less then a miracle.

If madrid were run on principles vaguley similar to those operated by normal businesses, they could not afford Ronaldo without selling one of their stars
Space is big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind- bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist's, but that's just peanuts to space.

TheStinger, Madrid sold the ground of their trainings complex for €500 million

After paying €300 million to get rid of their debts,
and € 100 for a new training complex, they got €100 left over to play around with.

after the Ronaldo deal there's still €52 million left over for other fun projects.
