Sten: I am not stereotyping anything.

A city I would rather live in is Quito, Ecuador and that city was noisy, extremely polluted and ugly:

Most of the city is slums...

Also surprisingly I would rather live in Bogota, Colombia right now... it is actually a nice city despite the little problem in the jungles:

For there is [another] kind of violence, slower but just as deadly, destructive as the shot or the bomb in the night. This is the violence of institutions -- indifference, inaction, and decay. This is the violence that afflicts the poor, that poisons relations between men because their skin has different colors. - Bobby Kennedy (Mindless Menance of Violence)

I used to visit San Francisco quite often. It really is a beautiful city. After a while though it got a little too wierd. I only go there now when I have to, which isn't very often. I don't remember what it was that finally turned me off to the place. I guess I just got bored with it. A friend lived there for years and he is very conservative and he loves it. I guess it grows on you or something. Maybe that is what I was afraid of...

In first photo you can see river of Neris. Downtown is on the left coast.

Mono, stereotyping that bad is horrible... San Francisco is rather obvious. Look at Bogota, Colombia... now that is a nice city to my surprise:

Not bad at all... I always wanted to visit there...

...The second pictures shows a small forest/park (Vilnius is a very green city many trees are everywhere even in the city itself) and new buildings near horizon. Vilnius TV Tower, a highest structure in Lithuania and second highest in Baltic states (and third highest in eastern europe and (possibly) fourth highest in all Europe as far as I know), which is turned to highest christmas tree in the world each winter since 2000 is also being seeable.

Silly Fez, you never live IN a major urban city. You live in the suburbs.

Like San Ramon, CA which is 30 minutes from San Fran, 30 minutes from Oakland, and 30 minutes from San Jose. And it's a conservative stronghold, what with being the corporate hardquarters for ChevronTexaco and Bell and only having 40,000 people.

Madrid is a mix of old style and modern.

                              Uribe will end that.

Wanna a bet? I lived right next to the small downtown in Quito... and I don't really live in the Suburbs in Buenos Aires...

AND what the hell does that have to do with anything?

Fez...it's a figure of speech. I was saying you should never live in a major urban city (American). Never live in Detroit, Chicago, San Francisco, etc. You live in the suburbs.

The suburbs of SanFran can be very, very conservative if you pick them right, and you still get the beauty of the region.
