  • Pizza toppings

    Whats your favorite pizza toppings?

    keep in mind the difference between favorite single toppings topping combinations (for example, i'd never have just canadian bacon, or just pinapple on a pizza, but together, it's awesome!)

    right now i've got 2 pieces of jalepeno pizza left, and 3 pieces of pepperoni. i'm not sure which i like better, but then i also think of garlic (especially garlic, olive, pepperoni combo) and i just. . .oh, it's too much pizza goodness.

    isn't pizza great?

      I'm a pizza traditionalist, so proper Italian Ham or fresh mushrooms would be the best. Or just a plain marguarita made in the most basic real Naples manner, Buffalo Mozzarella and chunky crushed tomatoes. Mmmm.

            Mind you the other week (the night before the London poly meet in fact) I had a nice pizza which had hoi sin duck on it

              Ham and sweetcorn.
              Southern chicken with cajun sauce pizza is nice too.

              Buffalo Mozzarella


              How is that different to normal mozzarella? I thought they were all made using buffalo milk.

                    Last I heard real Mozzarella was from goat cheese not cattle of any sort.


                    Well cheese of course. Mozzarella, provalone, some parmesan and romano for sharpness but who knows what they really use at pizza shop. No bleeding mozzarella cheese substitute that is mostly soybean oil. No jack cheese and no cheddar either. I like chedder but not with a tomato sauce and cheese pizza.

                    Sausage rather than the ever popular peparoni, canadian bacon and bell peppers. I can do without olives.

                    Other things depending on what the shop has. Occasionly I am willing to use my mouth as an experimental food lab.

                      Sun dried tomatoes and goat cheese are my two favorite topings, and there's alot that will go good with them; olives, spinach, mushrooms, ect...

                          I have never run eaten a topping combo I didn't like (dosen't mean they're not out there, I just haven't gotten to them yet).

                          That said, a properly done mushroom pizza is absolute heaven.
                          No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.
