If I used regularly, maybe. As it stands, I've smoked up <5 times, so my risk of lung cancer hasn't really been affected.

most physicist that I know who smoke it up do it a similiar ammount (a few times a year)
I do know this one guy who seemed to be a disaster though (no clue if it was related to his heavy pot use though)
he was the only slow physicist I have ever met

and while I know many who are screwed up with drug use, others seem to have minimal effects (my cousin does not have the effects of a drug user for 8 years (some of it at least pretty hard), but then I don't think he does much but pot anymore)

I think there's a reason drugs have been used ever since we started playing botanist. It does someone good to chemically take the edge off once in a while...
However, some of the drugs (opiates, the cocaine family, and synthetics spring to mind) are just way too concentrated nowadays. Too easy to kill yourself that way...12-17-10 Mohamed Bouazizi NEVER FORGET
