Well, considering that I'm paying for my college (what a snot nosed brat!), and that residence costs more than tuition itself, does it make much sense for me to move out? I live about 15 minutes from campus, only need to take 1 bus to get to campus, and save thousands of dollars a year doing so.

What smart guy WOULDN'T do that?

That's right, there isn't a problem. Just like most things in life, if you do things as directed it should work. If you do things not as directed and they don't work, there's not a problem with the design of the device or product.

Most cars rust if you never clean them and leave them sitting outside all day, most paint fades as well -- is this a "problem"?

While I have apsolutely no knowledge about the car question at hand, I think you are being very rude Sneak. I don't think there's anything wrong with living with your parents while you finish school, if it happens to suit your situation.

My father has always made it clear to me that if I ever needed he'd be there for me, just like his parents were for him after my mother left him and he had to move back home for awhile with two kids. If you're going to criticize Asher for living at home while going to school, then you had better be prepared to discount anyone who has had a similiar experience. Are you?

I haven't seen the pewter. I saw the model with the wooden steering wheel, the leather seats and the crome gas cap. Niiiiice.

It is small. I noticed that I don't so much get into it as put it on. Like any tiny car, it's ride is a little rough, but there's nothing like throwing back the top on a sunny day and driving along with the wind in my hair (...or what's left of it).

Oh, no...I'm just picking on Asher because he always brags about how much money his parents have. I find it very tacky...I went to school with a lot of rich kids and they can't get by without that support...it's very sad, really. Plus, I just don't like him very much.

Why don't you just chuck that trip and trade yours in for the Special Edition?
I must say that I usually sell those cars to very affluent men who are buying it for themselves or their boyfriends. But the demographic may be different here.

I do have the ability to laugh at myself all the time. Sometimes I'm more in the mood for it than others.

I'm not "leaving the nest" because it makes FAR more sense to stay than to leave right now. I'd end up farther away from campus if I moved, I'd end up paying twice my tuition in residence ALONE. There is no logic in that, Sneak.

Sure. I'm maintaining a stunning GPA in a field that actually will get me a real job, I'm employed, healthy, stable in my sexuality, liked by my peers, and have more than a little bit of common sense.

You may be successful by your standards, but you certainly aren't by mine. I'd hope someone your age with a degree would find a better job and a better environment for your child by the time they're your age, particularly since you supposedly have a degree (is it in something trivial like Women's Studies?).

Hell, you and your wife got married at a quickie marriage joint in Vegas, well after your first child was born.

I guess people have wildly different definitions of success around here.
