I liked "Interesting Times" a lot. Good stuff about revolutions and revolutionaries.

Well Paiktis already brought up the subject of balls so the truth is you probably still have bacteria on your balls from your ex-girlfriend of two years ago. They've colonized your nutsack and are now being spread to every new partner you're with. Yes, she gave you a gift which has kept on giving... or at least keeps on spreading.

P.S. to the moderators: This is a joke which fits in with the topic name so please don't ban me for it.

Vet, thanks BTW, isn't 'in search of lost times' like two million volumes long? Ever heard the Monty Python 'summarize cherchez les temps perdu' competition skit? Really good

Wombat, really good interpretations, actually - especially the 'people don't want to see it' part

BTW, Pratchett and Adams fans, have you guys tried reading Scott Adams books? They are quite pricey, but well worth it. 'The Dilbert Future' is really really good

Oh, another book you guys might like but enver heard about is 'Don't Panic', which is sort of a biography of Douglas Adams. It is really funny, and includes some of Adams early work, such as 'the kamikaze skit'. Really excellent.

I think so. the writer was some sort of nutcake, but important one. we only had to read a small part of it, named Combray IIRC. the souls who managed past first few pages are rare indeed. I never met one
its about this biscuit ...yawn... he chews, right.... and he remembers stuff when he was kid... yaaaaawwn... but its silly cause his family .....yaaawnn... had these friends and .....

How good is your ancient Greek cultural/religious/philosophical knowledge

Very... maybe that is why is started to bore me . I mean, the first two were just interesting stories on Rincewind's adventures. Small Gods was trying to make a point. Bah!

VetLegion: The best 'classic' is Les Miserables by Victor Hugo... by far!

                mystery solved!

reason why paiktis cant understand nietzche is simple: greek balls (apart from being very small) arent hairy!

alas, this also proves why greeks cant understand the Truth.

and why paiktis is posting nonsense 95% of time

                proof:

                  Suck my truth!

There is no single best classic IMO

although cirano de bergerac white nights of doskoyefksi, the books of mourselas and saturday night at the end of the city of triantafylopoulou are great. if they are not classic too bad.

Hey... I will never discover the truth or if I do I will have to just ask what it feels like to touch testicles
The only reason I was gone for so long was because I hate you people!!!
