oh, and che, if you want the english site, take it :

Historical atlas of Europe. Maps of mountains, rivers, cities and countries of Europe and of the World. 2000 pictures of towns and landscapes. Antique digitized maps. Digital vector maps and georeferenced vector maps, educational softwares.

btw, these maps ,are a part of even larger maps , i think, because you can see that some of the inscriptions are chopped out. Accurate historical geopolitical maps of the entire world , for each century? I wish I could put my hands on THAT.

Oh, I dunno. My post was not really referring to that.

Dissident made a comment on page 1, that "hey we still speak latin and use roman numerals, so the romans must have won" . . . which is QUITE obviously sarcastic. But good ol' dan here, bright guy that he is, just didn't seem to get that, when he posted, protesting. . .well you saw what he posted.

He really had a hard time getting my sarcasm in a thread a few days ago too.

I wanted to be a vulcanologist when I grew up. It's just as well I didn't, as I'm asthmatic. It'd be like being a marine biologist who has an allergy to sea water.
