However, had the North Vietnamese been as stupid and violent as OBL, America would have fought them to the bitter end and would kick their butts into the ground, just like the Japanese some 25 years ago.

In a sense, you understand Americans just as little as the Japanese politicians 60 years ago. You probably think that Americans are wimps because we always care about our people's lives so much. But you fail to realize that if there is a cause for war, America and its people are the most dangerous and persistant enemy you will ever encounter.

The idea of a "free-for-all" is pretty ridiculous. Why would all alliances break down simultaneously? The only way such a situation could happen is if a major network sponsored the thing as "reality TV" and every nation in the world just happened to be bored enough (there's nothing good on TV, ma) to go along.
