But isn't it great that you can criticise the Great Satan and they don't throw you in jail?
Any views I may express here are personal and certainly do not in any way reflect the views of my employer. Tis the rising of the moon..

Look, I just don't anymore, okay?

I'm disappointed that none of those essays were by a Canadian. They were also extremely UK-heavy. Something like 90% of the authors reside inLondon...

The article mentions the Wisconsin as "part of a fleet of battleships."

We have none. They're too expensive.

The nuclear aircraft carrier is the center of our fleets.

Also, I notice yankees and southerners bickering. Forget your petty squables. You are hopelessly outclassed by Texans.

All I can say is; we americans win wars. FeAr Us, IgNoRaNt MaSsEs!

We beat the living sh!t out of the VC. Unfortunately, politicians (the same ones who put us there) did not have the testicular fortitude to invade North Vietnam. So don't go blaming it on the armed forces. It was people in washington, not indochina, who were responsible for that fiasco.

We sure as hell didn't lose the war of 1812. Didn't capture canada (sorry, frogger, you have to be a canuck.) but we beat the hell out of the Brittish forces which attacked us. Old Hickory wouldn't have said we lost that one.

                  Wars we've won decisively:

                  American Revolutionary
                  Texas Rev
                  Mexican War
                  WWI
                  WWII

Wars we'd have won decisively if not for pusywimp politicians:

                  Korea
                  Gulf War

Nope. Your forces were decisively defeated while attempting to further one of their war aims; the invasion of Canada (1775).

in WWI and WWII I think your contibution was only a fraction of the total contribution of Europe and the Allies in general.

We fought a Great Power to a standstill. I'd say that was a spectacular showing considering how powerful the British were at the time.

Not really. They were fighting the French at the time, and had to supply the battle across the Atlantic...
