One was in response ot aggression, the other WAS aggression.
Quite simple.
1. Both WAS responce on aggression. Palestinians declared WAR on us at 1946 and all Israel attempts to stop the war were declined by arabs. And small note at 1946 Palesatina and England signed a millitery alliance against us. See more info at www.idf.com
War of 1973: Israel was attacked at Holly day "Jom kipur" the day when 95% of army at vacation.
2. Do you know, that afgan army was ARMED by USA at time of Soviet-Afgan war?

All the victims are probably not Israelis, but students from around the world.
10 of the wounded are Arabs.
Some Koeans. It was not action about Israel. It was action about all not Islam people. Against arabs who preffer science to islam. Action against hummanity.
One of the major problems with Israel's bomb attack was that it is very clear that there was a cold, calculated decision by the government to drop a large bomb on an apartment building - an act which could not help but harm civilians - in order to kill the terrorist they were after. Sharon then goes out and calls it a "great victory" while the reports of dead Palestinian children roll in.
On the one hand, Israel's government has a responsibility to its citizens to take action to protect them from terrorists. On the other, Israel has a responsibility to do all that it can to avoid killing civilians. A tough dilemna, to be sure.
The cycle of violence continues - the attack on the university was claimed by Hamas. They specifically said it was in retaliation for the Israeli bomb attack.
Sharon also said that he thought it was sad everytime that innocent died. For how much that's worth. But the same could be applied to Hamas, of cource they are going to say that it's a retaliation for the Israeli attack. doing otherwise is bad PR. Both/all sides do it.

And revenge is ok?
You know, there is a hint of racism here.
It's wrong for Israel to retaliate, even against military targets, because they are modern, western, mainly white country, it's wrong for them to do something that looks like revenge. The Palestinians though are just crazy primitive Arabs who cannot control their emotions and actions, so you cant really blame them for deliberately attacking civilians. Right?

1)England and France declared war against Germany in 1939, not the other way around. Germany asked for peace repeatedly.
Neither of these facts make France or England the aggressor.
You must always put things in their historical perspective.
Regarding the british declaration of war: Quite frankly, I don't believe it. And even if true, so?
2: So?
As to point 1, why? German lands were unfairly expropriated, and the Reich broken up, at the end of WWI. Hitler appeared to be trying to undo the Versailles treaty.
In a sense, England and France were the aggressors by imposing an unfair peace.
*** for tat. One thing leads to another. Memories are long, etc.
The conventional wisdom is that England and France caused WWII by their weakness in face of Hitler's demands. But in truth, they may have caused WWII by their aggression in the Versailles Treaty.
