Look this kid obviously has problems.... so let him be... he is probably an oppressed homosexual himself....
For there is [another] kind of violence, slower but just as deadly, destructive as the shot or the bomb in the night. This is the violence of institutions -- indifference, inaction, and decay. This is the violence that afflicts the poor, that poisons relations between men because their skin has different colors. - Bobby Kennedy (Mindless Menance of Violence)

      • Now, the problem here is that the second the Dim one here started equating gays to murderers and thieves, discussion should just have ended with ignoring him. I certainly hope moom will, by his own reasoning, categorically refute Dim's insane rantings and tell him to go away, as he is clearly projecting an image will reflect badly on others with similar views, no matter how much more moderate those folks may be...

In the meantime, I suggest everyone takes deep breaths and relaxes and just thanks whatever you believe in that you're not as f*cked up as the other guy.

The Great College of McDonald's Chefs is the only college he would get into....

If he is in College, I must be in the Special Forces... Oh well, I guess it is true anyways... but I am not in the Special Forces, I swear I am not...

                • You guys crack me up. I leave for a few minutes....and come back to this. How you lick each others wounds...did I wound you? You dismiss me as someone with major problems...you don't even know me.

                  Whatever...

I'm sorry for "disturbing the peace", but I felt someone had to stand up for what they believe in even if it isn't popular. If standing up for what you believe in is not acceptable here, then I guess I'll stop....I was just sick of seeing all your worldly opinions and "I'll scratch your back if you scratch mine". I wanted you all to know that I disagree with your fakeness. I guess I can understand that you would be mad at me for showing you how bad you really are, for telling you that you can't save yourself. If I believed I could save myself, or that I was fine the way I was, I would probably be upset too. Ah well, now I will let the waves die down.

Just let one thing be known: I don't think homosexuality is harmless and there are others like me. Many others. So before you go to your dreamworld and think that I am a freak of nature, remember how long homosexuality was shunned.

Let me explain you something. A long time ago I was very homophobic and at one point advocated firing squads but I am not that way anymore as I saw right through it as being false.

The point is these sort of beliefs are not popular here and are pretty much attacked by everyone in here.

If you want another forum that will accept your beliefs go here: http://www.newsmax.com and click on forum.

I wanted you all to know that I disagree with your fakeness.
Again you are trying to force people not to keep their beliefs and in the end being hypocritical.

I guess I can understand that you would be mad at me for showing you how bad you really are, for telling you that you can't save yourself.
Passing judgement on others is a fast way to get banned. Don't do it anymore. How bad we are? What a ironic statement to make.

Others like you? The vocal minority. A very small minority.

The majority is no longer like you. I concede a very large portion of the population in the US did infact discriminate against gays in the past but this is no longer the case. Most people are pretty much accepting religious convictions or not. But that changes and depends on where you are... if you are in Hickville, Oklahoma people are unaccepting, San Fran on the other hand is a different story. You are the sad and depressed minority.

We got beliefs and firm grip on reality whereas you do not.

                      • Sometimes I think that the real cause of bigotry is the plain old "herd instinct". I'm not sure whether it's taught or genetic, but people tend to want to emulate each other. They want to emulate each other up to the point where they come across someone doing something that they would be uncomfortable with, like a guy seeing a guy kissing a guy. Could it be that for a heterosexual to see this generates a sort of internal "cognitive dissonance" because as a male he has some ingrained need to identify with other males? Perhaps seeing someone do something that he would consider "icky" then causes discomfort because in an abstract way he is taking part in the act through his natural tendency towards identifying with other males. What do you think? Am I right or am I just p*****g in the wind?

This would explain why a lot of homophobes seem to be much more upset over homosexual members of the same sex than over homosexual members of the opposite sex--opposite-sex homosexuals aren't as easily identified with (if at all) as same-sex homosexuals, so there isn't as much dislocation or "ickiness."

And you know this because you come over to my house every day and I confess all my problems to you?

You don't know that you have a firm grip on reality, and you don't know if I have a firm grip on it or not. So after all you said about how I was being hypocritical, in the end, like me, you couldn't resist to do it yourself.
