Christianity relies on this circular logic whereas evolution is a theory with considerable amounts of empirical evidence...stacks of the stuff, and new evidence fits in with the theory. The theory has been refined over the year, not overturned or change, just more flesh added to the bone. Evolution, and neodarwinian evolution do not rely on circular evidence. I find it interesting, since evolution relies on circular logic as well, that you would point that out about Christianity. I think if you search the world, you will find no idea that doesn't rely on circular logic.

They do rely on circular reasoning because you assume things that you can't prove. And then you run with it. You take a fossil and make a bunch of assumptions about it. And since you can't be proven wrong (because there are no time machines), you assume that you must be right. Then you build on that.
