What universe do you live in?

I'm even a gay white male, and I can recognize I got it good. Landlords instantly treat you better when you're looking to rent, people don't look at you in fear on subways, security guards at stores don't follow you around, and you're an instant shoo-in for country clubs. You also get automatic credibility as a political candidate and no one automatically assumes you are where you are due to affirmative action (which means you get more respect).

My mom is a teacher, and she was trying to demonstrate to a high school contemporary issues class about racial favoritism. She asked all the kids to raise their hands if they would choose to be born white. Nearly all of them did (about 2/3 of the class was white). When she asked how many would choose to be born Black, not a single student said yes. Not even the black students. And only a couple selected any other races. And this is not a rural area, either.

White men still enjoy a massive amount of privelidge in this country. Has there ever been a serious contender for the Presidency who wasn't a white guy?

Yes if only he would have run for the office, he might have won.

Terrifying. One day they may achieve the same degree of power and relevance as the Flat Earth Society.
IIRC, in some Swedish kindergarten/preschool/elementary school, feminists had managed to remove urinals, precisely on grounds that men's ability to pee standing up demeans women. That's more than Flat Earth Society has managed to do.

I HOPE it's more than Flat Earth Society has managed to do. But you never know about Kansas.

Given how popular Powell was at the time, I don't see how they could have done anything but nominate him if he had thrown his hat in the ring. Sadly, we'll never know now.

You post on these threads and issues and you don't have a clue just opinions which are great and your right. But Ron quit trying to pass yourself off as knowledgable and in the know. Half these laws you had no clue exsisted until the thread went up
As ever, blackice, I welcome your input into the quotes I've picked out as being vague, suspect or downright laughable. At any point feel free to contribute to the points I'm debate on the article you chose to link to.

If, however, you want to ditch it and head for your old standby of smear tactics, then don't expect to be taken very seriously.

To reiterate my point- large sections of the article you posted are plain nonsense. Until you choose to tackle it, that assertion remains unchallenged. Significantly, there's a marked absence of people speaking up in defence of it.

Damn straight. Of course, for the really drunk, the urinal is optional.

Okay, the urinal is oppressive to women by the virture of allowing men to spend less time in the bathroom thereby spending more time working and getting a leg up on their female competition.
                  How I do?
Dagnabit! I posted a thread on the proposed anti-urinal law months ago and no one was interested in discussing it! The law was proposed in Norway, not Sweden, and it failed to pass.

The logic for doing away with the urinal is that it supposedly teaches little boys that they can stand up and pee on things a practice which the originator believed teaches the lads domination, which as they grew the little boys extrapolate in an abstract manner towards the treatment of other objects, such as women.

Yeah, gotta to admit though -- it was a popular spam thread about race and everything else related or not-so related to that thread's title.

And besides, you're not beginning to stalk me here on Apolyton, are you??

I also remember one time in sixth grade, a classmate decided to take a sh*t in the urinal.

Don't ask me how he did it -- I was not a witness, but the classmate did get caught by someone else who rattled.

It's sad that an argument I made up on the spot is superior to the one that is actually being advanced by these anti-urinal types.

Anti-urinal arguments is another example of excess, extreme feminism.

We're better off without extreme feminism.

Ron you need to tackle reality I am involved in this. You are obviously ill informed and have no idea what you are argueing. You simply laugh and joke at the entire article without so much as having any clear knowledge of the facts. This is not the first time nor the last I bet. But if you sincerely want to debate it get informed first. I need but one example each time. This time was Title IX to know you have no clue at all.

Dr. That is exactly it I did not see your thread?
Norway tried it first humm I wonder why Sweden is proposing the law now too.

Mr. Fun that is the whole point

Blackice -- do not mistake me where I stand though -- I am all for moderate feminism, and its goals.

And, I usually do not understand white men's whining about excess political correctness, when it comes to racist, sexist, homophobic, or anti-Semitic slurs.
