You're kidding yourself, Rich. You'd love a big, gushy love affair and you know it. Trust Uncle Alex- the worst thing you can do is to try convincing yourself that you're some kind of ice-cool detached brain who has dismissed love.

I probably am kidding myself, but it is easier to cope that way at times, and besides at the moment, it isn't so much the lack of having much to do that is the problem, but the money to actually do anything, to get out. Besides in this damn city it doesn't seem very likely that I will meet anyone, hence I am so eager to move out of here.

I haven't dismissed love. I'm deathly afraid of it. I can honestly say that I've never told a girl that I loved her. Not even my mom. I may say that I care for her, but never use the L word. I am afraid of commitment and it is something that I am trying very hard to fight in my current relationship. Well, I have to if I want her.

As for taking others guys' girls. I'm glad that I've never crossed that line. I once had a huge crush on this gorgeously beautiful woman. Didn't find out that she was married until I met her husband. It hurt, but I pursued no further romantic relationship. We're still friends today. The second case, was with a young girl who had a passing resemblance to Julia Stiles. She would flirt with me endlessly, often coming to my apartment in the evenings to talk. But she had a boyfriend so I was powerless to recipricate on her advances. So I tried to find excuses to avoid her every now and then. Eventually we just lost touch all together. And then there was the korean girl...wait...maybe I am a heartbreaker.

DaShi, if a woman that is involved with someone else is making advances on you, maybe she thinks she'd be better off with you than her boyfriend. The point of the "dating game" is to find the person you want to spend the rest of your life with. And even when you are married, you may not have found the person you want to be your lifemate.

I wouldn't advance myself, but I would at least flirt back (I do). And, because the other person is in a relationship, it is her obligation to make the first move. If she makes an actual advance, don't be afraid to reciprocate. If you want to, you can make it clear to her what she is doing.

Its pretty much been summed up. Flirt, touch alot so they get used to the idea of touching and it becomes "normal" in the friendship. Then, take it too the next level.

Frogger makes some good points too, except.

"Women want men as much as men want women; they just want them in a different way. A woman feels like she's giving up her pride when she screws a man she hasn't been dating for a while, so the only problem is getting her over this hump. Make it seem natural, and not like you're trying to conquer her or treat her like a prize, and she'll go to bed with you pretty readily..."

I definately disagree. Most women I knew of werent that stupid to go up for the BS talk "I want to help" rant. Most women (from what I know) wont go to bed with anyone readily without the use of alchohol(unless there sluts, never date a slut. Just **** her and get over it)

Show them a picture of this particular "femme." I'm sure they'll all have the same reaction:

How do you rate a thread anyways? And if you saw this girl, you'd all rate it a five.
Little bit more news, just for the curious: turns out this guy she's dating is around 10 years older than her. :hmm:
