It may "just be a cat", but if anyone ever did something like that to one of mine, they would get it just as bad or worse.

Provost , it's not that I don't feel sympathy with the human victims of everything worldwide , it's a response to a barbaric act.
I don't think that animals have rights, but any normal (yes , who am I to tell who's normal and who's not, normal doesn't mean better , blah blah blah ) person will see sheer cruelty that is a fruit of a deranged mind , that also constitutes danger to society.

Oswald , The innocence and the defencelessness of the subject are a side issue , After all , I wouldn't feel bad if a person would eat an innocent cow, as many of us do , day by day. It's the illogical cruelty, of the perpetrator that shocks and enrages me. The fact that they had no reason whatsoever to do , but did it anyway , just because they could.

"They had no reason to do it" - their victim was innocent.
"But did it anyway, Just because they could" - their victim was defensless.

But, I think that any compassionate person would feel the same about a cow who was being tortured in the same way. Even though most cows that end up on people's plates do live a life of torture and misery, few people are exposed to it, or are even aware of what the animal that feeds them go through.Rethink Refuse Reduce Reuse
