    PS2 sucks graphics-wise. The original GeForce has more graphical features.

    BTW, My P3 800 runs GTA3 perfectly. Although that box has a GeForce 3 in it...

      I'm a multiplayer nut, and for that reason Xbox is also most attractive because of Xbox Live...IMO, it's far far better than Sony/Nintendo's online plans. Nintendo doesn't plan to make any online games itself (thinks there's no market for it, like there was no market for a CD-based console back in the late 90s... ). Sony doesn't have the infrastructure experience possible or the budget to fund something on the scale of Xbox Live.

        Maybe, but saying that was just a part of my X-Box house comment. And they look much more realistic than the new Zelda (why, oh why did they cel-shade it?).

          As I said before, I think it's a compliment when all people have left to complain about the Xbox is its size.

          First it was it'd catch on fire all the time, then it was the Xbox would BSOD all the time, and then about how you'd have to install software on the Xbox, and about how no third parties would support the Xbox. All of those have proven to be false. So now what do they have left to grasp on to? Its size. For the love of God, when you actually put INTEGRATED FEATURES into a console (hard drive, ethernet, capable graphics chip, etc), it gets bigger.

          The Xbox is the same size as the PS2 + HD + Ethernet. But it's far more solid, seeing as it's one solid unit...

          And it fits a lot nicer in a home theater cabinet, just like a VCR/DVD player.

          That's complete bull****. The Xbox was "hacked" in 8 months, as in, with HARDWARE MODIFICATIONs on the Xbox (as in, 20 different pieces of solder of a $70US mod chip) you can run unsigned code on an Xbox. That's what it means by "hacked". FYI, the PS2 was "hacked" in less than a month, and it took 8 months for the Xbox...what are we whining about? It's impossible to make consoles hack-proof.

            Well, the games don't look up to much either. Graphically impressive, yes, but good games? In my opinion at least, no.

            And you can prevent hacking. Don't make it online!
            The same way Piracy can be stopped by using cartridges.

              Reading all these posts makes me wanna go out and buy all of them. Naturally my wife would behead me if I did that . I used to like playing games on the PC and I still do but I am sick and tired to have to upgrade all the time. I am trying to play Medal of Honor on PC and with my PIII 500Mhz, Kyro II and 768MB RAM it's not much fun. Games like Civ you can still play, although btwn turns you can go have lunch or something. Thus, I am reluctant to spend any more money to get a new PC to upgrade every two years or so.

                How many of the games have you played?

                That is honestly the worst argument I've ever heard.

                The Xbox in its 8 months has had far better games than the PS2, or even the GC, in their first 8 months. That's why the Xbox's tie-in ratios with software/hardware are significantly higher than either the PS2 or GC in the same timespan.

                        But cartridges load faster, are more durable than CDs, and can be left strewn about the floor with little danger posed to them.

                        And seriously Asher, I've not really seen a game that really impressed me in any other form than graphics. Give examples of 'great games' on the X-Box, and I'll tell you why I didn't like them.

                          I don't think you comprehend.

                          The Xbox "hacking" had absolutely nothing to do with being online. Absolutely nothing.

                          When they say "hacking" they mean making modchips do you can run pirated/unlicensed software (like Linux) on the Xbox.

                          I find it very sad that the GCN/PS2 fanboys don't have the intelligence to figure out how to read the article and see what it actually is about, but instead look like idiots citing it as a "bad thing" about Xbox Live.

                            umm

                            my cartidges have more problems then my CDs

                            and with CDs you can always just burn another (and it is cheaper to rebuy the game)

                            cartridges there is no replacing without a great cost

                              It's incredibly easy to pretend you've played games deeply enough to get a feel for it, pariticularly when you've already established a clear bias against it.

                              But I'll list the games anyway. And be warned, I will quiz you on the games you've claimed to play.

                              This list will only include the Xbox console-exclusives, and doesn't even take into account that the Xbox gets the best version of the multiconsole games like Tony Hawk, EA games, Spiderman, etc.

                              Halo (been called the greatest FPS ever, or at least since Half-Life)
                              Morrowind (for those without high end PCs only, of course -- November Adam plays and loves the Xbox version)
                              Rallisport Challenge
                              Jet Set Radio Future
                              GUNVALKYRIE
                              World Series Baseball
                              Project Gotham Racing
                              Hunter: The Reckoning
