Alanis Morisette is at least the bit rockish, Joni Mitchell is about purely folk...
Actually Joni Mitchell is by far the most accomplished composer / musician of the legion of sixties female folk-singers. Her albums over the years delved into much more than folk, and her bands were always top-notch. It's not really fair to just lump her into the folk-singer category at this late date, though I do agree that she can't really be called a rocker either.
I voted for Rush, though there are a lot of good bands mentioned.
He's got the Midas touch.
