I never said they were communist, I just find it incredibly amusing that a communist is complaining about political voice...
this is what i dont like about communism too (as well as not freedom of enterprise )

still, left wing policies do not mean communism and if people want them they should be able to get them.

(as they did in more than opne particular case)

The Soviet Union destroyed africa. Funny I see alot of people blame us for riots, coups...etc. But theres not an ounce of proof. What there is proof of is that Africans used knives and small arms to settle there differences in the early 50's. As soon as the Soviet Union decided it wanted to get involved in Africa, you start to see dictators being sold Russian made MiG's and T-55 Tanks to put down there own people. Liberty indeed!

Its like the ME though. Western Capitalist Democracies want to spread their market globally, and the 'Communists' want to socialize resources, taking away a prospective market for the Capitalists. The cold war was boths sides handing out guns to whichever nation wanted them.

Trujillo was a Fascist dictator (who admired Franco and Mussolini very much) who was killed by American marines... explain that to me...

it could either have been a fascists (in this case) or a democratically elected socialist who decides not to privatize the countrie's copper mine's to US corporations. Either way, "if your not with us, you are against us."

umm which is precisecly why anyone who is a communist and thinks highly of the Soviet Union. Does not have the Moral right to criticize America for Cold war happenings. It was the cold war for christ sakes! Let your gaurd down and there are Nuclear warheads 90 miles from florida.

In terms of weapons. You cant even compare. The Soviet's sold boatloads of crap to friendly dictators. You didnt see M-60 patton tanks on african streets. Nor did you see rogue revolutionarys responsible for amputations in africa carrying M-16s. The Soviets were more than willing to whore themselves to any madmen around the world for influence.

We made our mistakes. But by far, there is no doubt the USSR were the true crooks.

We protected him from assassination attempts by Castro and what's his name in Venezuela... there were numerous revolutions where the communists who had fled to Cuba and venezuela returned, armed by the Soviets. We supplied Trujillo with weapons to beat them back but we killed him within a few years... America just didn't want to keep on sustaining a dictator, even though he was very liberal about letting American businesses come to Dominica.

Noriega was a fascist too. We greased his ass for encouraging drug cartels.

well there you go then Albert. The US used him to fend offf the commies, then when things got to be not to our liking, the US offed him. Not unlike Markos in 1972 in the Philipines. We set him up, he threw out his nations constitution, and in '86 when he is of no use for us, we jail him etc. Same story repeated over and over across the globe.

USSR - USA-UK = two (3) rotten apples IMO (as well as their lackeys worldwide).
