Okay, because I was going by 1st ed rules In all likelihood they have changed it.
Does anybody have the appropiate PH? Please?

I'll stop by the bookstore today on my way home, if I remember. However, I'm pretty sure that the rule is that every five levels the Ranger gets to pick a new favored enemy (plus another one at 1st level, meaning you'd get one at 1st, 5th, 10th, 15th, and 20th levels). "Favored enemy" applies to a group of enemies, like "giants", "aberrations", "undead," etc. The ranger gets a +1/+1 bonus to att/dmg against his favored enemy. All previous favored enemies increment +1/+1 every time the ranger adds a new favored enemy. For example, a ranger could make Aberrations his 1st level favored enemy, and would receive +1/+1 to att/dmg. At 5th level the ranger could add Undead, and would then receive +1/+1 against Undead and +2/+2 against Aberrations. At 10th level the ranger could add Dragons, and would receive +1/+1 against Dragons, +2/+2 against Undead, and +3/+3 against Aberrations.
Like I said, I'll check on this on my way home if I have the time.
One note is that Humanoids have to be split into sub-categories as favored races, like "gnolls," "orcs," "goblins," etc. Rangers cannot pick their own race as a favored race, unless their kit specifically allows it or unless they're evil.

Jeeeeezus....I've never been in an adventure that talks so much...
Vlad, you simply have to post all members and their weapons attributes, etc., or we are going to take 3 pages just for someone to take a piss here, since they'll all be clamoring for +2 to hit the bowl bonuses.
Come on people..this is getting tedious...lets go with the spirit of the game, not the letter, oK?
Now....let's kick some Orc heiney and get on with this.
I nominate Loin to act as defacto leader in the event one or more of us is not online to co-ordinate our attack. That and Vlads rundown of our powers, etc, should get things moving again, I hope.
Life and death is a grave matter;
all things pass quickly away.
Each of you must be completely alert;
never neglectful, never indulgent.
I'm in Vlad, but you'll have to tell me what level I am so that I know my feats/skills. I'll assume no magic items, and post some stats and see if you'll take them as cool. I'll also give a feat chain up to 5th level. You'll need to summarize the situation from my point of view:
Fitz
Human Fighter Lvl ??
Stats: Str 15 (+1 to 16 at 4th), Dex 11, Con 14, Int 10, Wis 7, Cha 10.
Skills: Jump/Climb (3 + lvl + 2 (3 at 4th) - AP), Knowledge (Battle Tactics) (cc) (2 + 1/2 lvl).
Feats: Exotic Weapon Proficiency (Bastard Sword), Weapon Focus (Bastard Sword), Improved Initiative, Power Attack (Fighter 2), Cleave (Character 3), Weapon Specialization (Bastard Sword) (Fighter 4).
Equipment: Masterwork Bastard Sword, MW Breastplate (+5 AC, -3 AP), MW Large Metal Shield (+2 AC, -1 AP), MW Mighty [Str 16] Composite Longbow, 20 MW Arrows. Backpack & standard gear. Silk Rope (50 ft).
Edit: If I'm first level, I'll assume non-masterwork gear, Scalemail (+4 AC, -4 AP), Shortbow, and Hemp Rope.
Fitz. (n.) Old English
1. Child born out of wedlock.
2. Bastard.
UR: I checked the PHB while I was at the bookstore today. You get the Ranger bonuses at 1st, 5th, etc. levels like I thought, but you only get damage bonuses, not to-hit bonuses. The damage bonuses don't apply to creatures that are immune to critical hits (like golems etc.). You also get Ambidexterity and Two-Weapon Fighting for free, so you can dual-wield with no penalties as long as you're wearing light armor.
SuperSneak: I second the motion. Less talk, more killing.

Okay, here's my understanding of what everyone's armed with:
(All assumed to be 5th-level)
Kass- Human Paladin-- 2H-sword +4
Imran- Elven Thief-- Two short swords (+2 and +1)
Chegitz- Human Fighter-- Long sword +2
Sandman- Human Paladin-- 2H-sword +2
Rand- Elven Druid-- Sling/rocks
Lorizael- Elven Conjurer-- not armed
Loinburger- Celestial Solar-- Dancing Vorpal Greatsword +5, composite longbow +2
Fitz- Human fighter, 2H bastard sword, composite longbow +1
Supersneak- Half-dwarf fighter/ranger-- 2H Bastard Sword +3
Patashu- Half-orc Barbarian-- Bahamut Axe +2
Urban Ranger- Human Ranger-- Flame Tongue (longsword +1, with other abilities)
August Borns- Human Bard-- Broad Sword
Felch X- Human Illusionist-- not armed
Blackice- Human Barbarian-- battle axe +1
Corrections?
And I'll get the fourth round up soon (Fitz joins in after the fight). Unless we're really unlucky with our attack rolls, those ogres are going to be dead.
