It's fundamentalism. Oliver Cromwell was Lord Protector and he anned dancing, bright colours, etc.

I shall ban everything that isn't rainbow coloured and straight dancing.

    And Fez will love it

Fortunately for me, most people gave up voting years ago because it was useless.

Seriously, that's the 2nd biggest problem in our republic.

Okay... I would like a plane ticket to Switzerland NOW!

But like 95% of the US would never support a revolution or something like that.

would never is a very long time, Fezzy boy. Only 70 years ago it was a very real possibility, and only 30 years ago the government was very concerned that it could become a possibility. If you ever bother to take off your ideological glasses you'll notice that history changes and people change. Today the government is very popular, and yet in say 5 years, the American people could be completely fed up with the direction the government has taken regarding their rights and the War on the World, er terrorosim. Not saying that's what's going to happen, but it's a possibility.

In 1973 people were fed up with the government, I mean seriously fed up. Very pissed off. Yet Gerald Ford was sworn in after Nixon resigned. Nothing happened.

Take off your ideological glasses for a change. I know the US changes. 100 years ago I would of been considered a liberal.

Because he was next in line, and because the US had pulled out of Vietnam. What I said, and you need to pay careful attention, is that the government was concerned tht this might become a possibility. In other words, the US was not in a revolutioary situation yet, but it could become one.

All it would have taken was Nixon refusing to step down from power. He was considering a coup d'etat. Kissinger basically told the Joint Cheifs that any strange orders had to be verified with him first, that's how out of control things were.

But you don't want to know that, because it doesn't fit with your version of history, even though you don't know squat about our hisotry.
