LR: This just means that 'stuff' happens. There should be some changes in soccer rules, however, to stop this sort of thing. NFL style replay system would be a start. NBA style fouling system would be another.

          1. the ball went to Schneider´s (?) hand and not other way round. the referee´s decision was at least justifiable.

          2. so what? Kahn would have had cleared the penalty kick anyway

I for one did not see that ball hit the German's hand<--- (Then again I was cheering for Germany...very quietly)

Victor: Oh, it did, it's just that he had the hand there previously. Now it may be sneaky to stick a hand in front of the goal and leave it there so balls can bounce off it, but it is legit. He didn't actually move his hand in to stop it once the ball came in.

And good thing you were cheering quietly, too. Traitor!

Whatever. I'm rooting for South Korea definitely, with Germany as a second choice (that way the US can say that hey, we lost to the champions. Just like '94. Plus they seem like a pretty good team). Just no Brazil winning again, that's all I ask.

You idiots who say nothing is wrong ARE SO WRONG IT ISN'T EVEN FUNNY. If you understand Spanish, then you are going to be surprised when you read that first article.

It has all been one fixed ****ing game and I am angry. Aznar even said there was something wrong going on...

even the penalty shot, Lee cleared, wasn´t regular. when the spanish player (no idea who) was about to kick the goalie moved forward. this is not allowed. in the moment the spanish player kicked the ball, lee was standing 1-2 m in front of the line.
since under these conditions it´s way harder to shoot a goal, the penalty kick must have been repeated.

More illegal moves by the Korean team.

All I can say is the Korean team won by corruption. I never knew South Korea was a land of crime. Well now I know it is. Bribing referees...

you shouldn´t blame the korean players for what happened. I can understand when someone does everything in order to escape from being drafted to the army
