I've read some of KYP and antiterrorista people talking about the days of the 80's and they described the situation (with islamic terrorist groups in Greece) as "zoferi" (=tres bad).
I'm so glad we got rid of them

He's an old man, maybe he wants to see an independent Palestine in his life time. It could be that he knew the Palestinian people wouldn't accept a defeatist plan without first being defeated.
