I can't believe they actually called it the Battle of the Bulge...

Germany's still a pretty powerful nation, I believe. Even if their language was murder to learn

I went with the Brits. The combination of technology, training, and combat experience sold it for me. Not to mention that they speak the same language; that's a big plus.

              Based on Winston Churchill:

"From this point on, we will not say that Greeks fight like heroes, but that heroes fight like the Greeks"
              Winston Churchill, 1941.

              I vote Greeks.

Based on me, I vote Greeks again.

                  No Australians?

Germans probably got this on lock just because man for man, they should've won both world wars. The militaristic tradition of Prussia made the Germans probably the best soldiers in the world.

The Japanese, breed from centuries of militaristic tradition, would also make excellent soldiers but not particularily lasting ones. Unlike the Germans who would use their brains if outnumbered and try to fight another day (but take out as many enemies before leaving), Japanese soldiers have always been more likely to Banzai and get mowed down.

The Israelis have a much more recent but much more utilized militarism so they would be excellent soldiers as well. Muslims (turks and afghans) could potentially become excellent soldiers but would be a bit too much like the Japanese.

                  thanks

I vote French. When in battle, I can run away and no-one will notice me in the crowd.

Don't know whether I should really be posting these, but still... Blame my RS teacher. He told them to me.

                          Q. How d'you tell if you're in a French tank?
                          A. One forward gear and five reverse.

                          Q. What do you call French army boots?
                          A. Running shoes.

                          Q. How can you tell if you're holding a French rifle?
                          A. Pull the trigger and a white flag comes out of the end.

                          Apologies...they're terrible, I know...

Actually it was the other way around considering that that was when the Greek revolution took place.

Just one did, I dont remember his name and he has been discredited. Greece was never conquered by slavs.

BTW notice the date of Churchill's quote.

Besides, I wouldn't call the slavs bad in fighting...

The Nazis could tell whatever they wanted about this, of course, they were Nazis after all, nobody listened.
