Given that phrasing the song that came to mind was "Ocean Gypsy" by Renaissance

I still remember the first time I heard it.

Heaven's Gate, by Sheryl Crow, I suppose.
No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.

All of Third Eye Blind's music. Most recently I've been listening to their three newest unreleased (they have over twice as many unreleased songs as released songs) songs: Faster, Forget Myself, and Invisible.

Some of you can do better than that, Im not talking about some catchy pop/rock song that takes your fancy every now and then, Im talking about that song that takes you on a sonic rollercoaster ride that you wish would never end. THINK PEOPLE!!!

                  Another song I like is-

"Got to Give it Up" by Marvin Gaye.

                  That song is pimpin!

I find that to be contradictory, Cali. Most really good songs would be incredibly dull if streched out over more than three or four minutes. Possibly live really long, drawn-out songs can potentially work, but only in the hands of real masters. At home or in a club give me the short and the sharp any time...

There are people who couldn't narrow down their selection, I have the same crisis and thus can't really select a song, it would take a lot longer.

Yeah, I generally prefer something fast and upbeat to something more lingering, as a rule (unless done very well).

I can listen to Brahms 4th Symphony any day and everyday, always makes me punchy. The 4th movement is my particular fave.

Its not the length of the song that concerns me, but the quality(remember, size doesnt matter). Short and sharp is great too, but I am talking about those really epic sounding songs. Its hard to put into words, but its the kind of song you would be proud to play to people who lived thousands of years ago.
