KH, I like Ozy and Millie, but come on, how many of those storylines are stolen from Calvin and Hobbes?

Asher, was that supposed to be funny?

Well, User Friendly is better than Penny Arcade. Fact of life, dammit. It's more because of how much Penny Arcade sucks, though, than how good User Friendly is. User Friendly isn't that much, honestly, but Penny Arcade... well, it sucks.

Penny Arcade's not for everyone. The demographic for it is the gamer, usually teenagers/early 20s.

People with lesser senses of humor may not get it.

I'm a teenage gamer, and I find Penny Arcade sucky. SUCKY I TELL YOU!

For one thing, I prefer my comics to have a plot, you know, something happening. I also prefer characters that aren't interchangeable and graphics that don't look like Paintbrushed.

I am also a teenager gamer (ish) and I also find it pretty poor.

And I maintain that Whem I Am King has the best artwork of any online comic I've seen.

Plot? Please. Plot-comics are lame. If I want to watch a soap opera I've got a TV in my room.

And I don't look at comics for the art, but rather the comedy aspects of it.

You're looking at all the wrong things, you silly finn.

I believe you are referring to certain daily, or at least frequently-updated comics. Plot comics are certainly not lame (easy opener for the geeks. I didn't want to start with the downright weird Jain's Death).

                          I've never liked soap operas.

For that reason, I don't like Wrestling (WWE/WWF), I don't like plot comics, and I don't like soap operas.

But a plot comic isn't a soap opera, you silly man. It is a story, like a book or a film. This isn't some strip-a-day nonsense: this is a succession of panels, with text asides, that make a damn good story.

A plot comic is a glorified soap opera.

How is it any different? Both are "stories"...

Penny Arcade's comic aspects aren't so golden, either. Oh, hohoho, it's another gaming-related joke. Hohoho. Yawn. And they're not even good jokes.

It's the non-plot comics that are lame. Only good ones in the Internet are Red Meat and Parking Lot is Full, and that's because they're so twisted.
