Thank god my post was not racist then.
A lot of Republicans are not racist, but a lot of racists are Republican.

MrFun, yours was even worse racism-wise, but that was a cross post situation

            As for paiktis' point:

I'll never get how people that grow up in anindividualistic society can be so outgoing. Maybe being a group society is more oppressive to kids

Honestly, those guys I know that live sort of individual lives (loners ) often lack self confidence. But then that might be because everything around them is group-oriented, so they deem themselves socially unworthy or so. Now if all about the society is like that... hmm, I'd have to live there for a few months to analyze that. Seems interesting though.

Well, it is odd. On one hand you get all itchy when someoen makes a joke about homosexuals, and on the other hand you're a damn KKK racist.

Paiktis - we grow up differently in that regard, and that is my point. It has been confirmed by school friends that have been to the US for a year and seen it all (well, a part of it ). And also in the movies, they're just different. And TV shows. That has to be enough for a proof. Do you never watch TV, paiktis, or go to cinema? Are your teens like those? Poor Greece.

Yes we are different (Europe - USA) but not to the point of having a diffining difference in what concerns individuality.

And I doubt that american movies portray an accurate description of american life

                          paikster, stop using Snapcase's avatar.

It's like using his towel or toothbrush. For shame.

I asked for his permission and he gave it to me.

Besides, I don't think he has AIDS or anything.
