Perhaps now Russia is one of the loneliest countries in the world. The creation of a new joint council may just disguise this sad truth, but unfortunately can't change the essence.
i think afghanistan is the lonliest country in the world. i think that if russia became a full member of NATO, and eventually, eventually became a member of the EU, they wouldn't eb so lonely anymore

grog want tank...Grog Want Tank... GROG WANT TANK!

The trick isn't to break some eggs to make an omelette, it's convincing the eggs to break themselves in order to aspire to omelettehood.

        If... Eventually...

We demand a full membership here and now.
Freedom is just unawareness of being manipulated.

If Russia joined the EU it would have to be renamed. The Transcontinental Union?

Not necessary, in this case EU will be Eurasian Union.

Actually we can vote now, but of course the list of subjects we can vote now, is limited.

Russia is an ally. The whole nato crap is irrelevant. When you see that only 200 people show up for a "Huge" anti-american protest in Moscow, on a beautiful day. You know things have changed, for the better. I read an article in forbes about "Russia from the ashes" Great read. It was about where Russia is now, and where it will be. Russia is quickly building a middle class and people are finally begining to enjoy wealth. There are ****loads of issues with state monopolys. But putins cracking down well. The flat tax he brought in had increased government revenue by 50%.

Anyway im rambling, Russia is a great friend. In the future US and Russia will be close. There wont be any going back, not alot of people want it. The only ones who seem to want to go back are old men looking for handouts.

If Russia joined the EU, Hitler's dream will have been fulfilled. Why not call the new entity the Fourth Reich?

For Russian ear your joke sounds very offensive, considering millions of people who died in war against Hitler and his dreams about eradication of our nation.

Give it time. I'm sure at one point, when your economy is doing better and there aren't so many boys in conscripted service (and more bored rich kids) The Russian Anti-American demonstrations will be f--king huge.
Today, you are the waves of the Pacific, pushing ever eastward. You are the sequoias rising from the Sierra Nevada, defiant and enduring.
