                        I've actually been in this situation twice before. Both times nothing came of it but I felt a lot better when they knew and we are still friends in both cases.

                              Possibly you are a bit depressed which can make you feel that way.

                              You can be blunt but you care about your friends, you might not have felt that way about someone but that doesn't mean it won't happen in future, especially if you make some effort. It's not good to be sitting back and thinking "It'll never happen to me so there's no point me even trying really, I'm too blah blah for anyone to ever like me" etc.
