Deaths caused by Western nuclear power plants=0. Zippo. Zilch. Nada. None. Looks like a pretty good record for 30 years. OTOH, if one wants to bring up Chernobyl (deaths: 31) one might also want to consider that worst gas accident cost lives of 3350 (India, 1984) and second worst 650 (Soviet Union, 1989). Not to mention the effect it must have had on atmosphere - methane, after all, is 20 times worse a greenhouse gas than CO2, and gas leaks tend to get pretty lot of it to air.

Finland has about the best nuclear storage facilities in the world, when we consider
the geological location. If we would have to build Nuclear power to somewhere, then
to the Finland.

It has been very hard to quantify the damage caused by the release of radioactive material into the atmosphere after Chernobyl, because, after all, it just increases the chances of contracting cancer, and doesn't cause a 'certain death'...but I wonder how much it increased the incidence of cancer and how many more deaths resulted. I am sure it can be estimated...

Well, proven deaths. And number of probable deaths because of radiation most likely isn't that big either - compared to amount of background radiation your average Finn gets in an year, even amount of radiation nuclear power plant worker gets isn't that big.

And if it's probably deaths were talking about, it's oil and coal that are the real killers. 200,000-400,000 Europeans estimated dead per year because of coal and oil plants and combustion engines.
