It isn't completely foreign to comics.

It was one of the Post-Sept. 11 comics to come out.

couldnt they have a "new york" ending and a "rest of the world" one?
Cost. The "New York ending" hasn't hurt ticket sales anyway.

what cost is there to take off 5 seconds from the end?
and what about that "wet" scene?
imdb says: "Rated PG-13 for stylized violence and action"
who cares about violence when we have such an immoral scene!?!

That's a bit of a bald assertion.
How about this: "Given the quite frankly stunning performance of the movie at the box office, any negative effect of the "New York" ending on ticket sales is likely negligable."

I think that the UN should fly the flag of the US as its primary flag cause it is, after all, in good old NYC...

both good movies with solid stories, acting, direction, "moral messages", etc etc
why on earth do you get to see the american flag in the end???
there is no connection with the story, you could have spiderman jump around the building of london or french soldiers trying to save private lui!
and no, i wont use the word propaganda. i wont speak about undercover messages of the secret world goverment
i WILL do that unless some comes up with some decent explanation...
because there was a big scene where spidey was on the WTC. they had to reshoot 1/4 of the movie or something when it fell. i guess they just added the flag as a tasteful show of compassion for those lost. sorry if thats lost on the homose... i mean greeks.

Make your own movie and you can do whatever your little heart desires.
