I find it interesting how, when the Israelis were being seen as the evil beseigers who were oppressing the Palestinian guests of the church, there was post after post condemning it. Now, when the Palistinian "heros" are seen for they really are, there is nary a peep -- except, of course, for the whining over them going to Europe.
No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.

Where is che? I'd like to get his opinion on the behavior of the peaceniks who rushed the church.

Really? Because my view of what happened at the church hasn't changed.

And it's a pet peeve of mine, but it's "heroes".

Don't you dare try to threadjack this back to the original subject. I don't respect discussions started by FOXNews stories...

If they were good comrades they don't like religion anyway. Desecrate a church, oppose colonialism, it's all in a day's work.

Lie about a lack of food?

What lie about lack of food? According to a Franciscan on CNN today, they survived for 5 weeks on 2 weeks of food, and were down to water at the end.

Reporters saw a cupboard filled with food — more than 20 bags of lentils and rice, cans of beans and cooking oil.

Then we've got a credibility gap developing...

I'm not lying to you here; I saw a Franciscan monk who was inside during the siege saying that they were running extremely short of food.

Yep, all the monks said they were basically out of food.
“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

I hate to suggest this, but did the IDF get to go in before the reporters? And did they have time to drag 20 bags of food in with them?

I wouldn't put it past them (note: I also wouldn't put it past the Palestinians) to try to score some cheap PR points. Until shown some evidence, I'll believe the monks...

I am outraged, outraged that Palestinians would treat the birthplace of Christ like it were some kind of a stable.

I'm amazed that so many people post to a topic that they claim to care so little about one way or the other. Why is that, Z?
