Nope... I don't deserve to go in the box. I was Master of My Domain today...

    AS,

Remember what I said before about Friends? It's a show geared toward women...
Well, I like it. Not that you're an apparent expert on what's geared towards women.

*Wonders at the appropriateness of inserting some sort of Islamic/masturbation/cutting-off-of-body-parts joke here. Decides against it.*

1 drama in the top 10... and that the Soprano's? David Letterman ahead of the Tonight Show (and why did they specify Johnny Carson?)? Am I blind or am I seeing ST: TNG but not ST: TOS??? Even a non-ST fan like myself can see the error in THAT decision.

Oh well, after all the purpose of these lists are to ***** about them.

        from a Brit POV

        in no particular order

        Hill Street Blues
        Frasier
        X-Files

and as for 'Friends' -- how is a show funny when you can can see the punchline coming a mile off everytime?

Yeah, that's why it's one of the longest running shows still airing.

girlfriend? Which hand are you refering to?

1 drama in the top 10... and that the Soprano's?

Well, the Soprano's is good . And Comedies have been more imporant that Dramas in TV history.

David Letterman ahead of the Tonight Show (and why did they specify Johnny Carson?)?

They specified Carson because Leno sucks. And it's a judgment call. Letterman is utterly amazing, and they felt that he was/is better than Carson, especially with the new kinds of humor he brought.
“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Why not? It is better than anything else that ever aired on TV.
Check the skiing reports in Hell--I'm agreeing with Imran twice in two days!!

M*A*S*H really deserved to be rated higher.

                    Among the missing:
                    Burns & Allen
                    The Jack Benny Show
                    The Man from U.N.C.L.E.
                    I Spy
The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis
                    The Dean Martin Show
                    Maverick
                    and STAR TREK!!
...I mean, the Next Generation, really.

Was "Roots" not mentioned because it was a mini-series and not a series?

Where's the A Team on this list?
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

I wonder what Mama would say if she knew nationalist watched Baywatch.

I agree with Lucy, Honeymooners and All in the Family. Seinfeld, The Supranos and The Simpsons are simply too recent -- let them age a good ten to fifteen years after their final first-run episode, and if they still hold those spots, then I'll believe it.

I think M*A*S*H should be higher up on the list.
No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.

Letterman beating out Leno is no surprise.

Leno not even being in the top 40 is slightly surprising, but not unwarranted.

LOL! NBC really screwed up that one, eh?

                                The **** Van **** Show

that cracks me up. don't ask me why

I agree with most of that list except 60 minutes. I just don't think news shows should be on this list.

Seinfeld rules!! But cheers should be higher on the list.
