Or the Israelis should have considered before they elected a war criminal as Prime Minister.

The Palestinians did that. Sharon wouldn't be in power at all, let alone Likud, had the PA abided by the terms of Oslo and real peace occurred. Arafat knew that that wouldn't get him what he thought he wanted.

And who do you think is going to buy the big steaming pile of bopkess that the Pal's are simply protesting the Israeli election results?

They want to mine and boobytrap their camp at Jenin and use it for terrorist ops, - expect it to be flatenned.

And Arafat wouldn't be in power at all, if Israel hadn't picked him as the leader of the Palestinian people and brought him back from Tunesia.

Oh, and Netanyahu was elected very shortly after the death of Rabin (albeit in a very very close election), and he was Likud.

, but it's rather the other way, the Aryan tribes came to india.

          Oh yeah?

          Where from???????

US Envoy (Assistant SecState) called Jenin a 'terrible human tragedy'

          Obviously it is.

          I agree with it.

As MtG said, all war is great human tragedy.

          Stalingrad was tragic too.

But neither it nor Jenin witnessed massacares.

          Terri Larsen????
Why not already decide we are guilty????

As the Palestinians themselves are fond of pointing out, Arafat was elected by the Palestinian people, opinions on how fair it was notwithstanding.

It was Intifada II that pushed the Likud back into power and squashed any hope that the PLO's held of getting anything aproaching the Camp David II offer. Regardless of whether or not you thought that the offer was fair or not, it was the best deal that Israel had ever offered.

Imagine what would have happened if he had not violated that agreement then.

Imagine if Israel actually followed it as well.

Mom; Well little Yasser, you go into your big brother's room get his bomb belt and blow Benjamin's family all to hell. God will love you and eventually your other brothers may get our sandbox back. If not they too will blow other families all to hell too.

Little Yasser: Your so smart Mommy

Mom: Not me dear, I'm just a woman. Your dad is the smart one.

Little Yasser: But daddy was killed last week.

Mom: Yes dear but he is with 17 virgins now. He is much better off.

I suppose he didn't kill enough Israelies. You only get 17 when you manage to blow yourself up.

                          • Actually, the word "virgin" in this case is not accurate.
It was a result of a mistranslation from Arabic to English, and many people still stick with the word "virgin."

The more accurate translation would be angel.

Could you please tell us which commissars were Jewish?
And please give us your sources!

On the contrary, from the moment the Communists were in power, Jews -like Christians and Muslims- were persecuted.

"The decree of January 20, 1918, on relations between church and state initially affected Jews less harshly than Orthodox Christians because they never received state subsidies and had no compulsory religious education in schools. Nor did synagogues have many articles of value which the regime could appropriate. Nevertheless, under the terms of this decree, synagogues with their contents were as much subject to confiscation as churches...
...by the end of the 1930s no functioning synagogues remained.
Severe punishments awaited Jews who practiced religion in private."
