IIRC the PLO took up residence in Leabanon after the Jordanians kicked the PLO out of Jordan. Eventually even Lebanon found the PLO too hot to handle and kicked them out as well. Tunisia agreed to accept them, an offer that was approved by the US because of Tunisia's historically mild mannered stance on most ME conflict issues. It was felt that the Tunisians might be able to exert some degree of control over the Palestinians, so Tunisia became home to a large Palestinian community."I say shoot'em all and let God sort it out in the end!Comment
