I was watching a program about Imhotep last night, and one of the things that was noted was that almost all knowledge about him had been lost because the Christians had destroyed his temple. So that got me to thinking about all of the other ancient knowledge the Christians destroyed, and that about the people the Christians destroyed.
So, what do you think the worst crimes of Christianity against humanity were, and why?
For me it was a tough choice between anti-Semitism and the destruction of the library at Alexandria. What we could have known about the ancient world had that not happened.
But ultimately I had to go with demonizing an entire group of people, the legacies of which are still conflicting us today.
