The IDF : "We killed more than 30 armed gunmen in Nablus in the last 48 hours"
In total, 11 Israeli soldiers and aproximately 200 Palestinians were killed during operation "Defensive Wall".
It should be noted that during that week the number of Israelis killed in terrorist acts is 1. Compared to 30 per week in the last month.

OK, that looks very controversial indeed - get me a link to something other than this 'New Republic' site (i.e. something well known and respected) and I might give this some further consideration...
This story is legitimate, as is The New Republic.

Yea, if only those damned Americans hadn't thought they could win then everyone would be living in peace within the Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere now.

The Hizballah continues provocating Israel on the northern border
5 people were injured when 9 Katyushas had fallen on an IDF base near Kibbutz Avivim. The Israeli bases on the northern border are under heavy fire and there are reports about missiles falling near the city of Kiryat Shmone.
The IDF responds with artillery and warplanes on suspected Hizballah positions. No reports on Arab casualties.
It should be noted that in the last week the Hizballah slowly escalates the battles. From light guns fire on Israeli fortifications in Har Dov("disputed territory"), to mortar fire on those bases and empty territories inside Israel, to mortar fire on an Israeli Arab village nearby and Katyushas on empty territories in northern Israel and today Katyushas on Israeli military base, with 3 female and 2 male soldeirs injured(one seriously).
The Hizballah clearly awaits for Israeli retaliation so that it will have a reason to fire Katyushas on Israeli population centers saying that Israel is the aggressor.
