BTW, I find that a little bit of brownies can go a long way.
Well, when I first started smoking weed everybody mixed with tobacco, in fact most people I know do that. Don´t know why really...

      What is a blunt BTW?

and reds: thanks! But I think I will buy a pipe, homemade pipes makes me feel like a addict

Marijuana has been reported to be effective in:
          a) reducing intraocular pressure in glaucoma
          b) reducing nausea and vomiting associated with chemotherapy
          c) stimulating the appetite for patients living with AIDS
          d) controlling spasticity associated with spinal cord injury and multiple sclerosis
          e) decreasing the suffering from chronic pain
          f) controlling seizures associated with seizure disorders
Except for glaucoma, the jury's still out. Early studies and anecdotal reports which established anti-nausea and analgesic properties have since been refuted. There's also problems establishing precise dosage and necessary THC to gauge therapeutic potential. OTOH, marijuana has been linked to increased risk of heart attack in high-risk users, and has been implicated in increasing risk of panic attack and psychosis in those already susceptible as well as some users that aren't. It's a drug like every other, and not as "harmless" as one would think.

Yeah, it's not totally harmless, but it is fun. Besides, I was endowed my creator with the right to pursue happiness, wasn't I?

It should not be legalized because then the big corporations would move in and out compete the small, rural grower.

Marijuana legalization would seriously damage the 'off-season' economy in many small rural areas in Canada.

Do you think a family business would ever be able to compete with the volume, branding, and financial muscle of a corporate big boy?

                No!

We need to keep marijuana illegal in order to preserve an important part of the rural Canadian economy.

I probably would not be attending this university if not for the 'artificially' high price of marijuana.

Honestly, I'm not a big fan of blunts, because I can't stand tobacco. Roll me a big carrot joint or pile up that bowl and make a snow bong. . . . I'm in the deep South, no snow.

'Reported to be effective' and 'proven' are two different things, however. Still, I was already aware of the glaucoma and chemotherapy uses.
                          Thanks for the info, Padma.

Hmmmm, you never smoked any right? So you should know what you're talking about..... Look at what 63% of the people here answered. And do you think that having a drink is "better"? And besides, why would the medical community approuve it?

The anti-nausea and anti-wasting effects are proven to the extent that the FDA approved a drug called Marinol, which is made from marijuana but lacks its intoxicating effects.
