But i do not understand how someone seemingly so far removed can not see some of the real issues in regard to Israels behaviour and actions in the region.

Blackstone, I am not far removed and infact I have been in countries that are plagued with terrorism. I have been to a tri-border crossing where there are hundreds of Hamas and Hezbollah Cells in South America. So don't make assumptions about what I know or not and say I know nothing.
