I still don't understand this pitching thing.

So I can start 7 pitchers? So I can continue drafting pitchers? I don't want to fall behind in other positions.

and this relief and starting position thing seems weird to me. There doesn't seem to be any difference.

and these game limits are confusing as well. the rules don't seem very helpful.

Dis, you can start 7 pitchers, but you only can have pitchers play a certain amount of games.

Meaning that in the last ten games, if you have 7 starters going the first 40, they WON'T COUNT AT ALL in the last ten games!

So it's better to go 4-5 starters and 2-3 relievers, or you will lose for sure.

There are 162 games for each position. Catcher is the most likely position to not have a complete season so you are allowed to start up to 2 players at catcher, however, once you reach 162 games played, your stats no longer count at that position. Same thing applies with pitchers. Since they start once every 5 days, you can play more than 1 pitcher at a time. Same game limit rules apply, once you hit 162 games as a starting pitcher, the stats no longer count. Relievers have 140 game limit (I think?) but you never know how often relievers will get in, but it is typically 3-4 times per week. So you have to watch the games played from starters and relievers and come up with the best mix, typically 4-5 starters matched with 2-3 relievers.

Bloom, once the season starts the games played will make a lot more sense. During the draft don't get all your picthers too early or you will be hurting at offense. You want to get good players at every pos.

You will probaly want to draft 7-8 starting pitchers and 2-3 closers(don't draft middle relief pitchers, they're net worth it).

Thanks Peace, I was posting that mainly for Dissident.
I'm a little surprised at the early run at starting pitching. I got the one pitcher I was really hoping for (Tim Hudson) who is the No. 1 starter for Oakland but was the 3rd Oakland starter picked.
At this point I'm still drafting best available talent. I'll start filling spots later.

BTW, the Sandbox server is not responding right now.

It did the same thing lst Saturday about the same time. It was down almost all day. I think they have a lot of fast live drafts that start at noon plus with everyone tring to get on in slow drafts plus the normal traffic their servers just can't handle it.

They better get it fixed quicker this week
