Yeah, I know the brackets don't get picked until Sunday. But I figured... why wait?
Like last year, we'll be using the pool bracket manager at Sportsline to manage our annual freebie NCAA tourney pool. If you're interested in participating, post here with your e-mail address, and don't hesistate to do it now since the brackets haven't been made yet. I will send you an invitation using the system (if you don't have a Sportsline ID, you'll need to get one).
Scoring will be like last year... a 2-4-6-8-12-16 system for each of the six rounds, with no ranking of teams or underdog bonuses. I'm really not open to much variation on this as I figure the simplest system will please the most people (as I learned from doing the football pool the second year). If you really don't like it, gripe and I may listen.
Two changes this year...
-- The pool will be specifically opened on CGN, CivFanatics, and the Frontier as well as on ACS (as I wanted to do with the football pool this year, but couldn't since I could not find a way to automate it).
-- Players will be allowed to send invitations to family and friends, plus fellow posters on the sites I mentioned to join.
The objective, of course, is to get many more than the 10-12 people we had last year.
Hit me, people!
