As I said children shouldn't be exposed to two guys making out, it could stunt/harm their proper development.

Who the fvck are you to say what their "proper" development is?

Wait a minute, when you say your Union, do you mean the Student Union at your college, or are you talking about some sort of labor union? Hey, why don't you guys start a "Full Monty" weekend? You could use it as an event to bring together both the straight and gay communities.
"I say shoot'em all and let God sort it out in the end!

The whole Student Union. There are Gay Events organised for every day of the week.

I may not have described my feelings on this carefully enough, but this post by Sikander represents how I feel:

"The problem is that most people don't know/care that other people in their vicinity are gay or not. What they do notice is over the top behavior, and it's annoying regardless of who is too loud or overt. When people feel they are being targeted for political reasons rather than merely incommoded by over-zealous lovers they get even more annoyed/angry. Thus it sticks in their mind when a gay couple steps over the bounds of decent public behavior because there is a chance that this is a political behavior aimed at them. A vast majority of the time this is BS and people are just drunk and doing what they want, but I've seen enough cases of gay people trying to get a reaction to know that it isn't all straight paranoia either. I tend to avoid people whose behaviors cross the line whatever their sexual orientation."

We have to remember that Stew is very squeamish about human bodies interacting and 'doing things' like dancing or holding hands

What if I felt the same way?

            1. Don't kiss her in public.
            2. Don't hold her hand.
            3. Don't ask for her phone number.
            4. Don't flirt.
            5. Don't drunkenly hit on every girl that you see.

What choices do you have left... maybe you could begin an underground breeding club for heterosexuals.
"Maybe there's a god above, and all I ever learned from love... was how to shoot at someone who out-drew you. It's not a cry you can hear at night. It's not somebody who's seen the light. It's a cold and It's a broken hallelujah." ~ Cohen

At least Gay Week is making Boddies face up to his predjudices even if he won't admit them yet.

Then again... he's scared by Gay Week... disgusted by a girl dancing naughtily with him...

And then there's the "u like arses" text message he sent to me. Notice how it is supposed to be an insult but liking arses of indeterminate gender surely isn't a bad thing? Not unless he's subconciously assuming that liking arses implies both liking male arses and that in some way that is a bad thing.

Anyone who thinks gays aren't discriminated against in the West, have a look at this from an Alabaman judge recently:

Boddingtons lives in a nice safe little middle class bubble where everyone is tolerant and no-one discriminates against anyone else. According to him in threads over the last few weeks we've heard that there is almost no sexism, racism or sexual discrimination in the UK.

However he's also said that he finds it hard to get on with people from the south because they seem to be unfriendly and arrogant and he doesn't want to see gay people snogging because it offends him to have their sexuality thrown in his face. Oh and it's also disgusting when women (drunken sluts) get drunk and try and dance 'disgustingly' with him although later it turns out that actually she's not just a drunken slut but actually quite a nice person. I'm currently awaiting a "I'm not a racist but most muggers are black." thread from him to complete the Hypocricy Hatrick.

To him it probably appears that this is all perfectly reasonable but he's yet to be exposed to the real world.

                            Blimey!
And for those that can't be bothered to read through it (there's a lot there), here's a key snippet from Chief Justice Moore:

"Homosexual conduct is, and has been, considered abhorrent, immoral, detestable, a crime against nature, and a violation of the laws of nature and of nature's God upon which this Nation and our laws are predicated. Such conduct violates both the criminal and civil laws of this State and is destructive to a basic building block of society -- the family. The law of Alabama is not only clear in its condemning such conduct, but the courts of this State have consistently held that exposing a child to such behavior has a destructive and seriously detrimental effect on the children. It is an inherent evil against which children must be protected."

                            ...an inherent evil?

I went to a state school in Salford.

For unBritish viewers of this thread, Salford is one of the most deprived areas of the country. It vies with Hull for the highest crime rates for various offences.

where everyone is tolerant and no-one discriminates against anyone else.
That's true - I've encountered next to no discrimination against "minorities" in my 19 years of life so far.

According to him in threads over the last few weeks we've heard that there is almost no sexism, racism or sexual discrimination in the UK.
There is sexual discrimination - events like this horrendous Gay Week that we have to endure.

No, I said they are arrogant and up-themselves.

he doesn't want to see gay people snogging because it offends him to have their sexuality thrown in his face.
Who does want to see that?

Oh and it's also disgusting when women (drunken sluts) get drunk and try and dance with him although later it turns out that actually she's not just a drunken slut but actually quite a nice person.
                              When she's sober.

I'm currently awaiting a "I'm not a racist but most muggers are black." thread from him to complete the Hypocricy Hatrick.
And what would be wrong with such a thread? The statistics probably prove that that is the case.

To him it probably appears that this is all perfectly reasonable but he's yet to be exposed to the real world.
In other words, my worldview is different from yours, and you can't accept that.

                                An example from our country:

When I was at uni in Birmingham (not that long ago, 3 years?) we got this taxi with a driver who was happily telling us about the bit of Birmingham we were passing through. "Yeah, we always used to come down here on a saturday night to beat the sh*t out of the f**king poofs... blah blah blah go to such and such a pub, get drunk then come out here to find a couple of them to kick the crap out of.... 'course you can't do that anymore, there are too many of them and they hang around in big groups."
