    and Chicago!

I never know their names, But i smile just the same
    New faces...Strange places,
Most everything i see, Becomes a blur to me

Indianapolis is one of the biggest secrets in the USA. A great town, great people, but it seems that no one knows about it. I have to Indy my 'dark horse' beautiful city award.

Okay, I have to admit to Table Mountain being nice. But I value a city based on its structure (basically a flat, square-grid central city of no significant architectural value and a ghastly "Victoria and Alfred" commercial dock destroying the coastline in Cape Town's case) than its surroundings. Although a bit of structural water and hills do wonders for a city- Bratislava would totally suck without the Danube.

The parts of Sydney near the harbour are very nice.

I bet Babylon would've been a cool place to visit if it had still existed!

                          1) Madrid, Spain

                          2) Prague, Czech Republic

                          3) Salamanca, Spain

(Bah, one of the pictures of Salamanca changed completely to some different city)

For there is [another] kind of violence, slower but just as deadly, destructive as the shot or the bomb in the night. This is the violence of institutions -- indifference, inaction, and decay. This is the violence that afflicts the poor, that poisons relations between men because their skin has different colors. - Bobby Kennedy (Mindless Menance of Violence)

Luxembourg is the most aesthetically beautiful city I've seen. But there is no place like home.

I'm tempted to say Bath, but on balance I'll go for Prague too.

Though, it used to be quite beautiful

I'll go for... the surroundings and downtown of Tampere are quite nice, though my experience on the looks of cities is quite limited.
