replies versus views ratio

    Well Kaak... I never knew that before.

    The thread starting post does only count as one view...
    But any post after that does indeed count as two views since it does tack on another view when it sends you back to the thread after you post...

    Nice catch... that never came up in past discussions that I can remember.

          Editing also does the same thing (2 views, 1 "post"). Threads that tend to have heavily editied posts (math/physics threads, etc) will tend to have higher views/replies ratios.

            unless you edit right after posting, which only results in one extra view (after the edit). view post view edit view

                  Well, there are those of us who check in, get interested, and then by the time we get to the end of the page we realize we had nothing to say, it has already been said, or that things are getting far too weird or serious to get involved!
                  Freaks.
