They are opinions... and harmless ones. Everybody is welcome to their opinion... However, it is a matter of how you express them.

To say :Franco is my hero" is ok...
To say "Hitler is my hero, and I think he had the right idea to kill all the jews, and I think we should kill all the jews" now that isn't.
It is a message of hate...

To say "homosexuals don't derserve freedom" is ok...
To say "homosexuals should all die and go to hell" is not ok...
Again, a message of hate...

Yeah, there is a very thin line... and we do the best we can.

ok, I see the first distinction (though this means saying that Hitler or OBL is my hero is fine, as well as having an avatar of them).

But the second is somewhat less clear.

Saying that homosexuals should be locked up (thus depriving them of freedom), is ok.
Thus saying that homosexuality is illegal is also ok (why lock them up if their behaviour is not illegal?)

Saying rapist should be locked up is ok.
Saying rapist should face capital punishment is also ok.

So saying that people who commit one form of illegal behaviour should be locked up is fine, and saying they should be executed is fine as well. Saying that people who commit another form of illegal behaviour (in the poster's eyes) should be locked up is fine, but saying they should be executed isn't.

Doesn't seem right somehow.

Also, if I say that blacks don't deserve freedom, is that allowed as well here?

I think I took freedom in a different way than you are looking at.
I thought it implied "sexual" freedom... not jail time.

I think it's ok to say... In our state, it is against the law, and anybody caught should be put in jail because it is against the law is ok...

But saying all homosexuals should be thrown in jail because I think it's disgusting is not ok.

Again... a fine line. We look at "intent" (granted, we are guessing) and the context in which the comment is made. And we do consider the history of the poster also...
