      Why does this sound familiar?

      Curry

      That's some nasty tasting crap!

      Hmmmm. Mexican

      Hmmmm. Greek

      Hmmmm. Italian

Damn, we're only limited to one?

Gotta go with the home team - being American, I like American beef and chicken dishes.

Well, except for , which isn't exactly real meat.

On the topic, I also like some Chinese food.
For there is [another] kind of violence, slower but just as deadly, destructive as the shot or the bomb in the night. This is the violence of institutions -- indifference, inaction, and decay. This is the violence that afflicts the poor, that poisons relations between men because their skin has different colors. - Bobby Kennedy (Mindless Menance of Violence)

I agree with the statements on British food, and its antipodean derivatives. It is too often denigrated, without good cause.

Japanese. I could east sushi all day if it weren't so damned expensive.

                  German/Czech is a close second.

German cuisine is the most underappreciated in the world, and is my favorite European one.

Chinese cuisine has more than Szechuan and Cantonese to offer. They are just 2 provinces within China.

Pad Thai, Crepe, Gyros, Kebab, Wiener Wurst are all simple, but very tasty food.

I stick 'em in frenchbread and cover with bolognese sauce. Lovely.

Indonesian!! That there's some good grub.

Thai comes in at a close second.

                          Then Vietnamese.

(Not Burmese, though, which IMO is a bad combination of Thai and Indian cuisine. And I've never tried Laotian food.)

                          Then Japanese.

                          Then Chinese.

                          Then Persian.

                          Then Italian.

                          Then Greek.

                          Then American Southern.

                          Then Mexican.

                          Then Bengali.

                          Then French.

The grease gives it it's taste. Without it, you'd complain even more.
